The fonds of Varaždin County for the period up to 1850 comprises the following: minutes of the sittings of the County Assembly, county diaries, minutes of foundations, county sittings documents (items discussed at major and minor county meetings), circulars, proclamations, orders and correspondence with higher administrative bodies, documents related to the implementation of the urbarial regulations (survey for the unification of feudal services), documents and documents and accounting records of the county treasury, tax censuses, documents of the County Court, material related to public works, health care, army mobilisation during the Napoleonic Wars and the 1848-1849 war, material related to the Deputy County Prefect, documents relating to the substantiation of aristocratic origin, conclusions and instructions of the Croatian Parliament, etc.

Minutes, tax books and catalogues have been recorded digitally.
